Clean Futures Conference boosts Queensland business' bottom line
06-Sep-2011The Queensland 2011 Clean Futures Conference is set to bring together entrepreneurs, experts and advisors from across Australia and overseas in a full-day, “building your bottom line” opportunity that opens the doors on the global clean technology industry.
High on the list of Australia’s boom industries, clean technology (cleantech) companies enjoyed an average revenue growth of 31.4%* in 2010 with capital investment also reaching new highs.
Encompassing all aspects of environmental technology and services, cleantech industry sub-sectors include renewable energy, water, waste and recycling, construction design and materials, and energy efficiency.
To be held in October on the Sunshine Coast - a hot-spot in Australia’s cleantech revolution, Clean Futures 2011 is a practical, knowledge-building forum with an intensive program of international industry leaders and cleantech authorities from across Australia.
New to the program are the Cleantech Strategy Sessions, a “how to” series that opens the door to business growth opportunities within specific sectors. Each strategy session will provide practical advice from industry experts in areas such as mining, digital technologies and exporting.
The conference will wrap-up in the evening with the Cleantech Business Showcase, an exhibition that offers every Queensland business the opportunity to learn how to reduce costs by adopting environmental technologies. Attendance is included in full conference registration or showcase-only tickets are available.
The Queensland 2011 Clean Futures Conference will be held on Friday 28 October 2011 from 8.45 am to 6.30 pm at the Innovation Centre at The University of The Sunshine Coast. Conference registration opens on 1 September with a special earlybird rate available for a limited time.
The conference is proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council, Regional Development Australia, the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, and the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast, and is presented in partnership with Cleantech Industries Sunshine Coast.
